Florence McClain, “Stumped,” c. 1932

This photo is mildly humorous just because of the position Mom (Florence) is in on top of this stump.

I’m reasonably sure Dad (Lloyd Wright) took this photo. I think his objective was to show how large this stump was, and indirectly to show how large the trees were in this forest when they were originally logged. There is certainly no arguing the hugeness of this stump!

Judging from Mom’s clothing and the general surroundings, I believe this photo was taken on the same outing as the first photo in this post, of Mom and Aunt Anna Wright.
