McClain Children, Tallman, c. 1920

Another photo of the children of Arthur and Addie McClain by the house in Tallman. I’m guessing this was taken about 1920.

From left, Uncle Barney, Aunt Betty and Mom. Uncle Barney certainly seems to have liked that cat. The dog Mom is holding looks like Penny.

I considered cropping this photo down to just the kids. But if you click/tap the above image to see the enlarged version and zoom in on the kids, you’ll see what that would have looked like (pretty blurry). Also this photo seems to have had a hard life. It doesn’t show up too much in the image above, but it is really scratched up. You’ll see that also in the enlarged image, which is too bad. But if you don’t zoom in too far, it’s a nice photo of the kids and the front of the house.

    1. It does look kind of like that, but I don’t think so. There is a better look at Penny in this post: https://7roots.com/potd/?p=1641. She just has a white or light-colored body and dark colored head. And I’m assuming it’s the same dog in both photos. I only know for sure the name of the dog in the photo of Grandma.
