These two seemingly random photos were taken on the McClain farm in Tallman. They may have nothing at all to do with Lloyd and Florence’s wedding or the preparation for it. But it seems as though they would have been taken in that timeframe. These two photos are connected by the suit Lloyd is wearing in each, and the first one is connected to the photo of Florence and Dorothy Holmes in this post by the dresses the girls are wearing. That doesn’t mean they were all taken at the same time, but likely in the same general time period.
Except for the graininess, this is a great photo of these three (Florence McClain, Lloyd Wright, Dorothy Holmes). The ladies are wearing the same dresses as in the photo of them standing on the bumper of Lloyd’s car (photo in this post), so I suspect the two photos were taken on the same occasion (whatever that was). This photo looks like Lloyd (on right) is playing straight man to a couple of comedians, Bernard McClain on left, and a friend I cannot identify (if you can, please speak up!). Whatever silliness is going on here, it’s a great photo and I’d love to know the story behind it. The rather tenuous time connection between this photo and the one above it is that Lloyd is wearing the same suit (and it looks like the same tie, too).
