This photo seems to be from the ascent of Mary’s Peak that Dad referred to as his “Fifth Ascent.” Photos of this climb that came from his album were covered in this post.

Identities, from left: Marian Morris (friend of Betty), Betty McClain, Florence McClain, Lloyd Wright (behind), Dorothy Holmes. The picture must have been taken by Dorothy’s boyfriend (and later husband), George Weeks.

I really like the perspective of this photo, looking over the top of the grass. It is also interesting the way people are looking in different directions—almost as if people were sitting in a circle on top of the peak, looking outward.

I mentioned in the previous post about this trip that Mom (Florence) and Dorothy met in nursing school and became lifelong friends.
