Here are Dad and Earl pulling away from the house they shared with Irvine, Ann and Ed in California to return to Oregon. I think it reflects the significance of this event to Dad that he recorded the exact date in his photo album: “5/27/30”. The car is Earl’s 1929 Chevrolet Roadster.

I have mentioned before that Dad commented many times how glad he had been to return to Oregon even though the five of them “got along well and everything worked out well” in California.
