Here are two photos that Dad evidently took on the trip from Oregon to California in September 1929.

This photo indicates that Ed and Dad drove to California by way of the Redwoods.

Dad labeled this photo “Scene on the Redwood Highway, Fall ’29”.

Did you know there is a herd of bison in San Francisco’s Golden Gate Park? I didn’t. Evidently there has been a herd in the park since the late 1800s.

The bison herd that was there in 1929 caught Dad’s eye and his camera lens.

The fog looks like San Francisco even if the bison seem out of place.
