This photo was taken on the occasion of Grandma and Grandpa Wright’s 60th wedding anniversary in 1961.

It looks like this picture was taken at Jefferson Christian Church also. But feel free to correct me on that.

This is Grandma and Grandpa the way I remember them looking when I was a child. (No surprise, since I was eight years old in 1961.) Of more relevance, Grandma was 85 years old at this time, and Grandpa was 87.

If indeed this picture was taken in Jefferson, it was not long after this that Grandma and Grandpa moved in with us in Junction City. They lived with us until Grandma passed away in January 1965 (just three years after this picture was taken). So there would never be a 70th anniversary celebration.

I imagine there was a picture taken of the whole extended family at this event. But if there was, I don’t have it at hand right now.
