Dad evidently took this photo. A notation on the back simply reads “Summer 1929.” No indication as to the circumstances or location.

That is Minnie (Grandma) Wright in the middle, reading what appears to be a newspaper. But why is she reading a newspaper there, seated on a stony slope? The boy on the left tying a shoelace could be John or Lee. I’m not sure enough to say which. I’m reasonably sure that is Anna on the right, walking through the scene in bare feet.

It seems as though there is probably a story behind this photo. It would sure be interesting to know what it is.
