This is one of two loose photos in the front of Mom’s photo album. It is pretty fuzzy and a bit off the horizontal. I’ve done what I can to improve things in the image below. I’m pretty sure this is Addie and Arthur McClain (Grandma and Grandpa) on the farm at Tallman.

I didn’t realize (or didn’t remember if someone mentioned it sometime) that the barn there had a silo. Those of you who actually remember the Tallman farm, please confirm or correct.

The house in the background on the right is a neighbor’s house.

I’m not sure why they would have posed for a photo in front of the barn, unless it was when they first moved to Tallman and living on a farm was something new. I have no other basis for assigning a date to this photo (it’s much too fuzzy to draw any conclusions from Grandma and Grandpa’s appearance), so I’m going to run with the assumption that this was taken soon after they moved to Tallman (1918). Please correct me if you have reason to believe otherwise.
