This is the only photo on the first page of Mom’s album. I guess it serves a function equivalent to writing your name on the flyleaf of a book. It is cropped to the diamond shape you see here.

There is no indication of Mom’s age or a date for this photo. I’m going to take a wild guess and say she is 14 or so, hence the year is about 1924.

It is clearly a studio photo, so maybe a “school picture” or equivalent. If it really was taken in 1924, it could be an eighth grade graduation picture.
