I want to get back to older photos, but I couldn’t resist posting this adorable sequence of three photos of Art and Jim two or so years after the photo in yesterday’s post. The boys are sitting on the front porch of the Wright residence at the north end of Geary Street in Albany. There is no indication what the occasion was.

In case it isn’t obvious, Art is on the left, Jim is on the right. When I first came across these photos, I thought Art was on the right and one of his older sisters on the left (due to the length of Art’s hair). I am told that our mother was so taken with Art’s curls that she couldn’t bear to cut his hair. This seems so out of character for Mom, at least to me. But Art being the first son after three daughters, maybe. She did eventually cut Art’s hair, of course.
