Here is another group photo of the Arthur McClain family, taken about 1930.

Mom (Florence McClain) was not sure, but thought perhaps this photo was taken at the home of Arthur’s brother Ray and his wife Grace. I assume she meant their home in Albany, where they lived until 1930 (which helps fix a possible date for this photo). If that is correct, this could have been a farewell family get-together, because Ray, Grace and family moved to Newport, Washington that year.
Identifications are probably unnecessary, but this is Addie and Arthur McClain and children Florence, Bernard and Betty. Mom though perhaps the boy in the car at left was Ray’s son Walter. Walter would have been six years old in 1930, so that seems possible.
Whoever took this picture must have cracked quite a joke as it was taken. The whole family was caught smiling pretty broadly, if not outright laughing.
