Tallman Goodwill Club, c. 1925

All I have to go on with this photo is the information noted on the back, which Mom (Florence McClain) provided at some point…

…namely, that this is the Tallman Goodwill Club. I have no information regarding the purpose of this club beyond the name.

You probably recognize Grandma Addie McClain, seated at right.

Mom identified the lady seated at left as “Mrs. Averhoff.” You may recall Waneta Averhoff. She was Mom’s “mock groom” at her “mock wedding.” I imagine this is Waneta’s mother.

The only other identification Mom provided is for the lady standing at the left—Maude Briggs Krabil.

All I can say about the girl seated in front, whoever she is, is that she doesn’t seem thrilled to be there. It seems she was not experiencing a lot of goodwill just then. ;–)

Despite the lack of information about this photo, I like it for how it encapsulates an aspect of rural life in the 1920s
