Continuing with photos from the wedding of Florence McClain and Lloyd Wright on July 9, 1933, on the McClain farm in Tallman. Here are some photos of the wedding party.





As is probably obvious, the wedding party was dominated by Lloyd’s siblings. Even the maid of honor was his sister. (As has been mentioned elsewhere on this blog, Florence and Anna were close friends before Florence had any relationship with Anna’s brother Lloyd.) The other bridesmaids were Florence’s friends from nursing school, Shirley Briggs and Dorothy Holmes. Shirley McClain, the flower girl, was Florence’s youngest McClain cousin, the daughter of her uncle Ray McClain. Shirley was three at the time of the wedding.
