“The” Wedding, July 9, 1933 (Part 4)

Continuing with photos from the wedding of Florence McClain and Lloyd Wright on July 9, 1933, on the McClain farm in Tallman. Here are a couple of family photos and some photos of the bride and groom.

John Hammell with some of the girls: Shirley Briggs, John, Florence McClain Wright, Dorothy Holmes
John and Sarah Hammell with the bride and groom, Florence and Lloyd Wright. The Hammells’ 50th wedding anniversary was just three days after the wedding. They were the only grandparents of either Florence or Lloyd still living at the time of the wedding. The only other grandparent who came close was Lloyd’s grandmother, Angie Wright. She passed away in 1928.
Lloyd and Florence. This looks like it would have been a great photo of the couple were it not for the focus issues.
Another photo of the bride and groom
And yet another of them. I believe it was an enlargement of this photo that was “the” wedding photo of my parents when I was growing up, though I don’t remember it ever being on display. I think it was usually hung in a closet or in the attic. I understand that Art has that enlargement now. In any case, this is a nice photo of them.
