Today’s photos, like yesterday’s, are very faded. As I mentioned yesterday, the process of digitally “un-fading” these photos brings out artifacts that make the photos appear dirty. So take that into consideration as you view them.
Also like yesterday’s photos, today’s were taken on the porch of the McClain home at 1027 E. Seventh Avenue in Albany. They appear to have been taken about the same time, based on Florence’s apparent age and also the fact that she appears to be wearing the same hat or bonnet in both.
My wild guess is that these were taken when Florence was around four months old, so fall 1910.
This first photo shows Florence being held by her Grandma Sarah Hammell. Florence was her first grandchild.

The second photo shows Florence sitting in a high chair on the porch.

Both these photos look out the east side of the porch, like one of yesterday’s photos. However from this slightly different angle, we can see that there actually was a house and outbuilding, or maybe two houses, on the east side of the McClain house. Still nothing like what that area is like today.
Treasures, even if they were faded!
